You have a website and now you are wondering about possible ways that you can promote it. Today we are going to be talking about a few possible methods you can use to promote your site.
Depending on your budget, your goals, and your patience level will determine the type of advertising method that you should choose.
If you just want to get your site out to in front of many people as possible in the shortest amount of time but you have a small budget you can purchase traffic. Though I would not suggest purchasing traffic right away because there are downsides to this method. First downside is you don’t know where the traffic is coming from.
It is hard to know if these are targeted or incentivized traffic.
A better option when you are just getting started would be to set up a pay per view or a pay per click campaign. Facebook now offers this service if you write a good ad you will get more views to your site. My suggestion would be to test different descriptions using tracking codes to see which one provides you with the most clicks this way you can focus only on those advertisements that are attracting more viewers.
Writing a press-release is also a possible option that ranges in price from as little as $0 to as much as $200 depending on where you submit. My advise would be to first do some research on the best way to write a press-release before you get started. This way you will be a step ahead of everyone else when it comes to writing a great press-release. Once you have written a good press-release you can start off with one site and work your way through the various sites until you find the one that is best suited for your particular niche or product.

Building Your Web Traffic
Today we are going to be talking about building your web traffic. First off what is traffic? traffic is basically having people go to your website.
What traffic is not, traffic is not sales. Often times people confuse traffic with sales and think if they have a lot of people go to their site they will have a lot of sales. This is not completely accurate because if you have a website that does not convert well (meaning it is not interesting enough to the person visiting the site) you will not get any sales.
This ends up being frustrating for both you and the person who visited the website.
What you want to do is avoid “bad” traffic. This is no targeted traffic or people that would have no interest in your offer. For example, my husband is a gamer, swift codes he loves video games. If you had him go to your video game website he would be considered “targeted” because he is more likely to purchase your product than I would.
So, when you are getting ready to start to find methods to build your web traffic you want to avoid getting what is considered the “bad” or un-targeted traffic. Tracking your campaigns is essential when you are just getting started. This method proves helpful in testing which campaigns are working and which traffic methods are showing the highest conversions.
Test, test and do more testing when you are trying to figure out which is not only the best sources of traffic but also testing your pages to see which pages are working and which pages should be modified.
When you are ready to start building your traffic there are many options and which options you choose will vary from person to person depending on your comfort level with the listed options.
You have several traffic options available to you such as pay per click, pay per view, joint venture partnerships, forum marketing, social networks (like twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, etc.), article writing, search engine optimization, traffic exchanges, adding email signatures to your emails, writing a press-release and more.
As you can see there are many different methods you can use to increase your website traffic.

What To Do When Writing A Press Release

You are going to write a short article announcing either that you are now open for business, or your recently launched a new product, or new promotion. Whatever the item is that is newsworthy. What you will do is include a link back to your business website.
The benefits of writing a press release are that you will get you backlinks, traffic, and eventually some sales. Like most things, you will get better as you continue do this. This first one doesn’t have to be a work of art, it’s just getting you out there and started.

1) Make sure that your item is newsworthy
2) Try to keep your press-release to one page or less
3) Put your BIG news up front (don’t hide it in the middle)
4) Make your title eye-catching (If it sound exciting to you, ask a business partner or associate to see what impressions you get)
5) Include facts and figures (numbers always make things seem better or worse so if you have some numbers available that are good feel free to include them)
6) Use quotes from the experts (if the expert agrees with your story this is great news. Ask a mentor or if your website already has quotes you can use one of those)
7) End your release with the way that
the reader can get in touch with you. A wesite, email or telephone number or even a combination thereof.
What you are doing here is creating an article that will get your website spread around the various internet hotspots. This will get you traffic and backlinks, as stated before.

When you are internet marketing you might be considering using safe lists. Safe lists do hold their value for those who are just getting started and have not yet built their own list however there is a way to use safe lists and there is a way not to use safe lists.

My suggestion would be to not use the safe list to promote your product, company, service or business but rather to make provide the reader with something of value. The reason you want to use this method instead is because the users of these lists are usually inundated with offers and the majority of the time to reason a person would join one of these lists is because they have their own product or service they are trying to promote so the best method would be to use this knowledge to offer them something to help them build “their” business.
Offering a service or a tool or even an eBook with useful information can be a few of the methods you can use when marketing to safe lists. The goal being to build your own list.
You see, as you build your own list your need for these types of list will decrease.
The larger your list the more Joint Venture opportunities will open up for you and again what that means is you will need to use the safe lists less and less until you no longer have a need for them at all.
If you have done your marketing correctly and have chosen good lists you can be successful in your attempt to build your own list. Banner advertising can work but it takes time and lots and lots of impressions so be prepared to pay for it.
Traffic exchanges are ok if you have the time to sit and watch through the other pages or if you have the money to purchase the advertising or outsource and have someone else to do it. This method takes time to develop so be patient.
Renting lists can seem like a great option but just keep in mind that renting lists can be costly and unless done properly will not yield high results. If choosing this method you should prepare to pay for it but also prepare to ask a lot of questions.
Now the goods, Social Marketing, Article Marketing, Bookmarking, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the benefits here are they are all no cost. You develop valuable skills and build relationships along the way (social marketing and article marketing.) With SEO, you increase your website visibility so it ranks high in the search results.

Why You Should Focus On Branding First
Everyone knows that affiliate marketing is the fastest and cheapest way to get started making money online. In case you were not aware there is a distinct difference between a network marketer and an affiliate marketer.
You may not even be aware of the differences if you are just getting started.
A networker usually markets a company and the company sponsored products.
An affiliate does not usually market a company but rather markets various products.
Here is the key difference between the 2 types of marketers. Networker’s are able to create long-term residuals off of their customers while Affiliates commonly cannot.
Does this mean that you should not become an affiliate? I don’t believe so, because affiliate marketing is still the lowest start up cost and is still the best option (in my opinion) for those who are just getting started.
Network marketing does have its benefits, the long-term residual, the ability to build strong relationships with your people, the satisfaction you get from helping your team members build their business so that they can see profit, steady paychecks as your team builds.
These are just a few of the benefits of becoming a network marketer.
